Energy Cities has developed a new study for local project leaders who want to move towards a sustainable energy transition together with the territory stakeholders. Local autorithies have a key role when adopting new energy comsuption policies, however, it is the stakeholders who become a key factor by creating trends and habits that promote innovative actions, tools and approaches.

This study compiles more than ten European energy transition initiatives, that are subsequently grouped and based on: driving change through ambitious partnerships; and, addressing the need for more democracy. as diverse as they are innovative, anticipating new forms of governance and new ways to act and collaborate.

Troughout the Exploratory Study you could find the process description and the analysis of the interactions and the generated synergies between municipalities and stakeholders. It also provides with key factors for success and replication.
