C40 Report - Unlocking Climate Actions in Megacities
Cities Climate Leadership Group (C40) has published a report showcasing the obstacles and solutions to climate actions in cities. The report features case studies and interviews with city government officials that have faced each of the challenges.
Today's analysis indicates that cities are ahead on implementing policies and actions to slow down and turn aroung climate change and greenhouse emissions, and as C40 Executive Director Mark Watts said "Cities are key actors in the global fight against climate change and mayors are taking a leadership role in implementing action on the ground”.
Key barriers have been identified in Unlocking Climate Action in Megacities to fight against climate change throughout a selection of actions that are proved to be effective in cities.
